Ren Weinstock's CAS Internship with Stokes Nature Center

In the summer of 2022, CAS trainee Ren Weinstock interned with Stokes Nature Center. As an intern, Ren: 1) developed a pollinator and firefly monitoring program for an 11-acre conservation easement; 2) led a free, educational pollinator outreach program for families; 3) designed a pollinator week social media series; and 4) recruited volunteers for a weekly Nature Bilingual Espanol/English Story Time.

Ren gained skills in literature review, pollinator study design, volunteer recruitment, science communication & outreach, and professional network growth.
