Graduation Ceremonies

Utah State University celebrates the achievements of the graduating class with both the University Commencement ceremony and individual college convocations. Commencement honors all graduates together, while convocations provide a more personalized experience as students are individually recognized by their colleges. All ceremonies are open to family and friends, and tickets are not required for attendance. Graduates are encouraged to RSVP for the ceremonies they plan to attend.

Procession

Commencement Procession

The Academic Procession is a cherished tradition that marks the official start of the Commencement celebrations. Led by the USU Scotsmen Pipe and Drum Corps, graduates process from the University Quad to the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum, where the ceremony will begin once all graduates and faculty have entered and taken their seats. Family and friends may line the route to cheer on their graduates, and the procession will also be broadcast live for those already inside the venue. The procession lasts about thirty minutes.

Parking

Event Parking

Free parking is available throughout campus to all students and their guests during Commencement. Downloadable parking maps are provided for both the Spectrum and the Newel and Jean Daines Concert Hall. Accessible parking is available near both venues, and shuttle service will operate from the Maverik Stadium and Spectrum tiered lots to the Spectrum.
