About This Degree
The Associate of Applied Science degree (AAS) in Agricultural Production and Automated Processing degree offers a solid foundation for establishing a rewarding career within the agricultural production and processing industry through hands-on practical training in equipment management, testing, diagnosis, and retailing of agricultural production and automation processing technologies.
Students may bring up to 30 credits from applicable technical certificate courses taken afterJuly 1, 2023 toward an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Agricultural Production and Automated Processing. Certificates from the Utah System of Technical Colleges which include Automation Technology, Diesel Technology, Electronics Technology, Machining Technology, and Welding Technology are recommended.
What You Will Learn
Course work encompasses applied engineering, troubleshooting, operation and maintenance of agricultural production and processing equipment. As an integral part of their training, students may complete an occupational experience or an internship in the industry.
Students completing the AAS in Agricultural Production and Automated Processing Technology may stack credits into a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Systems Technology.
