About This Degree
The Associate of Applied Science in Cosmetology degree is intended to build upon the state-aligned technical education curriculum and provide valuable training for cosmetologists throughout the state.
Students who complete this program are prepared to take the State Board Exam to become a Licensed Cosmetologist.
Students must have their Cosmetology License (or complete USU Eastern's Cosmetology Technical Certificate) prior to starting the Cosmetology AAS. The Cosmetology Technical Certificate is only offered on the Price campus.

What You Will Learn
The program leverages the 44-credit licensure in Cosmetology, Barbering, Nails and Skincare to allow students to pursue additional professional development, business skills, or teaching licensure to ensure that their training will be most beneficial to them after graduation.
