About This Certificate

The Engineering Foundations Certificate offers students—both aspiring engineers and those in other disciplines—an opportunity to develop a strong understanding of core engineering principles.

Through a coherent sequence of first-year courses, students gain the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in sophomore-level engineering coursework or to enhance their perspective in other professional fields.

The certificate provides a solid grounding in analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and design, making it valuable for students pursuing a wide range of academic and career paths.
