History - Minor

College of Arts & Sciences

About This Minor

Are you fascinated by history? Our History minor program is designed for students like you who are interested in History and who want to take courses applicable to their major.

The History minor is an excellent way for students to turn an interest in history into a valuable skill set. The program is designed to introduce students to the field of historical study by deepening their knowledge and understanding of the past and by developing their ability to think critically and hone historical skills. The history courses we offer will teach you to evaluate competing interpretations, gather evidence to prove an argument, and develop your historical imagination through working with primary source materials.

A History minor pairs well with almost any major, including business, medicine, and international relations, and can teach you additional skills to succeed in fields such as law, politics, education, journalism, library sciences, museum study, and public service.
