About This Minor
The Japanese minor at USU provides students with the tools necessary for advanced Japanese language and culture study.
Through beginning and advanced language classes, cultural studies of classic and contemporary Japanese film and literature, and a unique calligraphy course, graduates will leave prepared to enter an international community and advance their Japanese language education.
Graduating with a Japanese minor allows students to seek employment on a global scale. Graduates of this program can pursue many career options including interpretation, government translation, foreign intelligence, language teaching, banking/finance, and more.
