About This Degree
The School of Teacher Education and Leadership (TEAL) offers a Master in Elementary Teaching (MET) degree designed to help you become a teacher. Upon degree completion, USU will be able to recommend licensure within Utah.
What You Will Learn
The MET (Plan C) degree include completion of 33 credits in an approved program of study. An additional 30 credits of Elementary Education coursework may be necessary to meet licensure requirements of the Utah State Board of Education (USBE). Upon completion of the MET you will be well prepared to enter the Elementary classroom and make a difference in the lives of your students.
This program is specifically designed to help degree seekers and job changers to become licensed educators. The program leads to a recommendation for teaching licensure from USU. However, licensure is granted by the Utah State Board of Education.
