About This Certificate

Medical assisting is a fast growing profession that is versatile, interesting, and schedule friendly. Medical assistants have diversified skills that allow them to work in a variety of medical office settings including taking patient histories, obtaining vital signs, electrocardiograms, pulmonary function tests, phlebotomy and collecting and processing lab specimens.

MAs also assist in surgical in-office procedures. Many medical offices offer flexibility in scheduling often allowing weekends and evenings off.

With the certificate of completion the medical assistant can work is a variety of settings including: Emergency room, urgent care, medical offices (including specialty clinics), hospitals and many other medical services settings.
