About This Minor
By minoring in Middle East studies, students will be introduced to the rich history and culture of the Middle East through courses on Islam, Middle Eastern government and politics, and the languages and cultures of the Arab world.
The courses in history and politics are highlighted by classes introducing students to the Arabic language.
Studying and understanding these aspects of the Middle East is important for graduates as they seek careers in education, business, international law, social work, communication, journalism, tourism, diplomacy, foreign service, and religious work.
