Become a Vital Part of Animal Care with the Veterinary Assisting Program.

The Veterinary Assisting program is designed to be the essential first step in launching a rewarding career in animal healthcare.

This program will equip students with the hands-on skills and knowledge needed to support veterinary teams across Utah, playing a critical role in promoting the health and well-being of animals throughout the region.

What You Will Learn

Students will learn to safely handle animals, provide basic care, and assist with clinical procedures. They’ll study animal nutrition and wellness, perform lab work, support radiology and anesthesia, and gain hands-on experience with blood draws, IVs, surgeries, and dental care.

The program also teaches vaccine administration, communication with pet owners, office tasks, and how to follow veterinary standards and regulations.
