Benefits Orientation

On your first day, you'll be automatically enrolled in the "USU Benefits" e-learning in Learn Blue (USU’s employee learning management system). This course provides a detailed overview of your health and retirement benefit options, instructions for making your elections within your first 30 days, and resources for getting your questions answered — including a link to schedule a 1:1 meeting (in person or via Zoom) with a benefits specialist.

You’ll also have an opportunity to connect with a benefits representative during New Blue Employee Orientation for additional guidance.

In addition, you may review all benefit options on the USU Benefits website or the USU Eastern benefits website for USU Eastern (Price) and Blanding employees and explore related resources on the HR website. Contact the HR office at any time with questions or concerns.

Important reminders:

  • Within 30 days from your date of hire, you must complete your benefit enrollment form through the ServiceNow System.
  • If you are adding eligible dependents to any coverage, have your proof of dependency documentation ready to upload.
  • Depending on your retirement plan, you may need to set up an account with the retirement vendor of your choice to access statements or make investment changes.

NOTE: New employees previously enrolled in the Utah Retirement System (URS) with USU must remain with URS.
