HR Banner EPAF and Time Entry Training
There are four parts to this training:
- Basic introductory for all employees who have responsibility for HR processes within their department, unit, or college. Topics covered: How to log onto HR Banner, search techniques, HR banner functionality, PPAIDEN forms, security, data standards, etc.
- Introduction to the electronic approval process. It is for staff who submit HR forms for approval. For example: staff responsible for completing electronic forms necessary to hire a salaried fiscal year employee, or wage hourly employee, etc. Topics covered: basic approval processes using NOAEPAF, and basic mechanics of how to use the electronic approval system within Banner.
- This part of the course encompasses HR electronic departmental record maintenance and is a continuation of the introduction to the electronic approval process. Topics covered: day-to-day upkeep of departmental records involving employee and job changes such as, salary changes, title changes, and account changes within HR Banner. Learners will learn how to set up automatic routing of EPAF'S and will learn about how proxies are set up.
- Learn step by step instructions on how to enter time or leave into Banner on a departmental level. Participants will learn who their departmental leave and time approvers are, and how to submit time for approval.
This course is a hands-on experience and will give users a chance to practice in a "test instance of HR Banner." Duration: 2-day course, 3.5 hours each day. To register for the next training email hr@usu.edu with your name, A#, position title, and business services college/division.
