The mission of Risk Management is to assist University Administrators, managers, and other personnel in the prevention or minimization of unintentional losses and to obtain timely and equitable recovery of insured losses.
Commercial General Liability, Professional Liability, Errors and Omissions and Automobile Liability insurance is provided to Utah State University employees through the Utah State Risk Management Fund. This coverage applies during the performance of the employee's duties, within the scope of his/her employment or under color of authority as such.
The University's property insurance through the Utah State Risk Management Fund provides all-risk, replacement cost coverage on property owned by the University or property for which the University has assumed liability prior to a loss. This property insurance has a $2,500 deductible.
Additionally, Utah State University employees are insured for work-related injuries or illnesses through the Worker's Compensation Fund of Utah.
