Theodore M. Burton Scholarship

Established in 1995

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Foundation hereby establishes a scholarship endowment fund to memorialize Theodore M. Burton, Professor of Chemistry who began teaching at Utah State University in 1934 and continued his teaching career until called as one of the General Authorities on October 8, 1960. Elder Burton composed the words and music to the Alma Mater at Utah State University. The scholarship fund is intended to assist and encourage undergraduate students majoring in science at Utah State University.  

The recipient shall be enrolled in the College of Science within its Departments of Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Mathematics and Statistics, and Physics. Recipients shall be chosen by the scholarship selection committee of the College of Science.
