Emergency Hardship Fund

Helping students deserving of an education in the time they need it most.

Utah State University’s Emergency Hardship Fund provides grants to students who have encountered circumstances that otherwise cause them to drop out of school. Whether you are a student looking to apply or a donor looking to help, you can find all of the information here.

EHF Award Eligibility Requirements

The emergency hardship grant from Student Affairs awards $750 per semester with a max lifetime award of $1,500. To be eligible for the award you must meet the requirements listed below

  • Must be a matriculated, active enrolled full time student at Utah State University
  • Must have a USU institutional GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Must have completed at least one full-time semester at USU
  • Must have a completed FAFSA on file
  • Must have an index greater than zero
  • Must not have received more than $1,500 in total hardship funding
  • Undergraduate students must apply for and accept all eligible subsidized loans
  • Graduate students must accept all available federal loans
