The Utah State University Departments of Biology and Chemistry + Biochemistry provide tutoring services to USU students based on availability. Students interested in meeting with a tutor in one of the subjects listed in "Tutoring Subjects" are encouraged to schedule an appointment with a tutor based on the course(s) you are seeking support for.

Meet the Tutors
Colton Campbell
Bio: Colton is originally from Rigby, ID and is a Senior studying Finance with minors in Real Estate and Chemistry. His current goals are to apply to medical school after graduation in the hopes of becoming an Emergency Physician and owning his own clinic one day. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, hiking, camping, working out, and playing music. Spanish is his second language, and he currently works with the Huntsman School mentoring entrepreneurs located in Central America. He is excited to be a science tutor this year!
Matt Staten
Bio: Matt is a Junior studying Biochemistry with minors in Biology and German. He is preparing to attend medical school, although he is still deciding on a specialty. In his free time, Matt loves reading and being outdoors, especially with his mountain bike.
Logan Hale
Bio: Logan Hale is a senior studying Human Biology with a minor in Spanish. He hopes to attend medical school after graduating.
Mia Hammond
Bio: Mia is a senior majoring in Human Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She is preparing to attend medical school to become a Pediatric Surgeon. Mia loves working with children and hopes to help them someday. In her free time, she enjoys reading books, watching movies, spending time with her sorority sisters in Kappa Delta, and painting for fun.
Jackson Bronsell
Bio: Jackson is a junior studying Human Biology with a minor in Chemistry. His goal is to attend pharmacy school after he graduates and pursue a career as a hospital pharmacist. In his spare time, he enjoys snowboarding, playing percussion, and lifting weights in the Nelson Fieldhouse.
Payton Cheney
Bio: Payton is a Senior studying Biochemistry with a minor in Biology. After graduating, he plans to attend medical school. He loves Lake Powell and anything to being on a boat, including wake surfing and tubing/p>
Trey Taylor
Bio: Trey is a junior studying Biochemistry. He plans to attend medical school one day and wants to specialize as a pediatric oncologist or radiologist. In his free time, he loves fly fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and anything outdoors.
Matthew Siddoway
Bio: Matthew is a Junior studying Human Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He is currently working as a
Firefighter EMT and plans to go to medical school to become a trauma surgeon. In his spare time, he
loves to spend time with his friends, work out, and be outdoors
Charles Durrant
Bio: I am currently finishing my undergraduate degree in biology with a human emphasis and plan
on attending a physician assistant program soon afterwards. When I'm not occupied by school
and work, my hobbies include guitar playing, reading, and hiking.
Trenton Blais
Bio: Trenton is a Sophomore studying Biology with a cellular/molecular emphasis. He hopes to one day work
for a pharmaceutical company developing lifesaving drugs. When he's not studying or working, he loves
playing soccer and being outside to fly fish and hike. He looks forward to helping and working with
everyone!
Evan Jones
Bio: Evan, originally from Kansas City, Missouri, is a sophomore studying Human Biology. After college, he
plans to attend medical school and wants to specialize in critical care. For fun, he likes to lift weights,
snowboard, and relax out on the lake with friends.
Cam Burns
Bio: Cam is a sophomore Pre-Dental student with a major in Biochemistry. Upon completion of dental
school, he hopes to specialize in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He enjoys being with his friends and any
activity that gets him outside.
Jeremy Case
Bio: Jeremy is in his third year of the Biotechnology program. He enjoys researching dietary intervention on
colitis and colorectal cancer in the Benninghoff Lab as well as competing on the USU Western Equestrian
Team. You can find him skiing, hiking, quilting, and spending time with his horse out at the farm in his
free time. He wants to attend vet school after his undergraduate to ultimately practice mixed or
emergency room veterinary medicine as well as teach at university
