Alumni Band July 1: Independence Day Salute

The 2018 Alumni Band's season concerts are held in the Daines Concert Hall in the Chase Fine Arts Center on the USU Campus.

Utah State University Alumni Band kicks off the second concert of their summer series with an Independence Day Salute. They’ll play many patriotic hits along with special guest director, Thomas P. Rohrer, director of bands at USU, Lane Weaver, associate director, and a student guitar duo comprised of Ivan Gygi and Terrell Brady.

You can expect traditional patriotic tunes such as the Armed Forces Medley, American Civil War Fantasy and The Stars and Stripes Forever.

“We are so happy to be able to offer these family-friendly events,” Nicholas Morrison, music director and senior associate dean in the Caine College of the Arts, said. “I hope you’ll let the alumni band continue to be a part of your summer evenings.”

Other Alumni Band concerts will be held on July 15, 22 and August 5. Performances begin at 7 p.m. and are free and open to the public. This season’s concerts are held in the Daines Concert Hall in the Chase Fine Arts Center on the USU Campus.
