Annual Report Highlights Support Services from USU Civil Rights & Title IX Office
Utah State University's Civil Rights & Title IX Office has released its sixth consecutive annual report, outlining its work to prevent and respond to discrimination and sexual misconduct across all USU campuses during the 2025-26 academic year.
The office offers several ways to report, supportive measures, and a neutral grievance process for students and employees statewide.
This year, the office coordinated hundreds of supportive measures, from academic extensions to no-contact orders, and provided accommodations to 107 students with a pregnancy or related condition, a 10% increase from the previous year. It handled 855 unique cases, compared with 1,013 the year before.
"Our team works every day to help students and employees get the support they need to keep learning and working," said Courtney White, interim executive director of the Civil Rights & Title IX Office and USU's Title IX coordinator. "I appreciate their dedication and the respect and fairness they bring to this work."
The report also covers the year the U.S. Department of Justice closed its review of USU. In September 2025, the department ended its 2020 agreement with the university after determining USU had met its requirements.
"The systems built over the past five years are now part of how this university operates," White said. "Our priority is maintaining that momentum and providing consistent service at every USU campus."
The full 2025-26 annual report is available on the Civil Rights & Title IX Office website. Information about reporting options is also available online.
