LOGAN — USU Libraries will host Library After Hours from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Merrill-Cazier Library, exclusively for incoming Connections students.
Library After Hours gives new students a relaxed, no-pressure way to familiarize themselves with the library outside its regular hours, helping them build confidence in the spaces and services they will rely on throughout their academic careers.
This year’s Library After Hours is Summer Camp-themed, which will feature campfire storytelling, stargazing and more. Students will also be free to explore the library's spaces while enjoying games, pizza, karaoke, hobby horsing, quiet spaces and prizes throughout the evening. Participants are encouraged to bring their curiosity, appetite and sense of adventure.
This event is designed to help first-year Connections students feel at home in the Merrill-Cazier Library. By experiencing the library outside of traditional hours, students can learn about its resources and services in a relaxed environment, fostering a sense of belonging that will support their academic journey.
