Earth-Friendly Kitchens

Your kitchen uses more energy than any other room in the house, says Utah State University specialist Kerry Case. Conserve by pre-rinsing dishes with cold water, rather than hot, before washing. If your refrigerator leaks cold air, replace the seal and when baking, remember that your oven temp drops 25 degrees every time you open the door.
