Fall Issue of Utah State magazine is Online

After six years of drought as severe as the drought that dispersed the environmentally savvy Anasazi, interior Westerners may be in for a prolonged period of adjustment. If the drought persists until the end of the decade, BLM officials warn, Bear Lake will be empty and Lake Powell will cease to generate electricity.

Utah State scientists have provided water expertise since the founding of the university. They have all kinds of advice about how to adapt to the desert and live with permanent water scarcity.
