More Than One Source of Prion Disease

Utah State University researcher Mary Conner says a single source of chronic wasting disease in north-central Colorado mule deer is unlikely. Conner says migration movements could bring uninfected deer into contact with diseased deer, which may contribute to the spread of the fatal neurological illness. Chronic wasting disease is similar to mad cow disease.
