BLANDING, Utah — Utah State University Blanding will host a Native American Heritage Month Celebration, in collaboration with the Utah Division of Indian Affairs. The celebration will be from 4-8 p.m. Nov. 2 at the San Juan Wellness Center.
“USU Blanding has a strong Indigenous student body and tradition that we love and celebrate,” said Kristian Olsen, senior associate vice president for USU Blanding. “We are excited to partner with the Utah Division of Indian Affairs for this event. It is their first event held away from the Wasatch Front, and we could not think of a better location to celebrate the heritage of Native Americans in our region and across the state. We hope everyone in our community will participate in this wonderful experience.”
The celebration will be a family-friendly event, including a social powwow, food trucks, vendors and more. All are invited to join in on this fun and educational celebration.
Offering residential campus housing and dining, Utah State University Blanding gives students the personalized attention and small class sizes of a small-town college with the resources of a large university, all while providing award-winning education. With degree options ranging from associate to doctorate degrees, plus technical education offerings in Business, Technical Trades and Health Professions, USU Blanding offers programs that help fuel local economies and empower individuals and their communities.
