USU Campus Rec to Celebrate 1st Week of Spring Semester 2024 With Free Events, Fitness Classes

Utah State University Campus Recreation will celebrate students' return for the spring semester with free events to give them a taste of snowshoeing, yoga, high fitness and more. The free events of Welcome Week will span Jan. 8-13.

“Welcome Week is for students so that they can get to know what Campus Recreation has to offer," Coordinator of Fitness and Wellness Tayler Davis said. "We have fitness, climbing, basketball, and more so students have an array of offerings and things to find out what they like.”

Raffles at various events will give participants a chance to win prizes such as free group fitness passes and intramural memberships.

Welcome Week activities include:

  • Group fitness classes will be free all week.
  • Welcome Week Yoga, 8:30-9:30 a.m. Jan. 8 in the Multi-Activity Court in the Aggie Recreation Center.
  • Free throw contest, 5:30-7 p.m. Jan. 9 in the Multi-Activity Court in the Aggie Recreation Center.
  • Welcome Week High Fitness, 7-8 p.m. Jan. 10 in the Multi-Activity Court in the Aggie Recreation Center.
  • Tasty Thursday, 3-5 p.m. Jan. 11, in front of the Aggie Recreation Center.
  • Welcome Week Zumba, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Jan. 11, in the Multi-Activity Court in the Aggie Recreation Center.
  • Toprope Night at the Climbing Wall, 7-9 p.m. Jan 11, in the Aggie Recreation Center.
  • Snowshoe Hike, starting 9 a.m. Jan. 13 in Logan Canyon. Register recportal.usu.edu
