HELPER, Utah — USU Eastern partnered with Helper Saturday Vibes on Sept. 27 for the final weekend of the popular summer series, bringing students, faculty and community members together on Helper’s historic Main Street.

The night featured participation from a wide range of USU Eastern programs and departments, each highlighting their academic offerings, student opportunities and hands-on learning experiences. Faculty and staff shared creative displays, demonstrated projects and invited attendees to engage in conversations that showcased the depth of Eastern’s campus community.

In addition to campus programs and departments, several athletic teams also represented the university. The USU Eastern Cheer Team, Women’s Basketball Team, and Men’s Basketball Team energized Main Street with school spirit, joining community members for games and activities that kept the atmosphere lively and welcoming throughout the evening. Kids even joined the athletes in rounds of Spikeball and Connect 4, adding to the playful energy of the night.

Alongside Eastern’s booths and activities, Helper Saturday Vibes featured local food trucks, vendors and live music, creating the signature atmosphere that has made the series a favorite gathering place all summer.

As the closing weekend of Saturday Vibes, the event carried extra meaning for both Helper and USU Eastern. The street was filled with families, alumni, students and residents eager to celebrate one more summer night together. Even with some rainy weather, the spirit of the event carried through, leaving a lasting impression of connection and collaboration.

Events like this provide an opportunity for USU Eastern to celebrate local traditions while strengthening ties across Carbon County. The university’s participation demonstrated its commitment to supporting community events that bring people together, encourage student involvement and highlight the value of higher education in the region.
