USU Extension Software Now Available Online For Housing Counselors

PowerPay debt reduction software, created by Utah State University Extension county agents, was recently added to Home Counselor Online™, Fannie Mae's free, Web-based tool that helps housing professionals, including counselors and lenders,  prepare clients to attain and maintain homeownership.

According to Jack Payne, vice president for USU Extension, "PowerPay (which was created by Utah County Extension agents Dean Miner and Judy Harris), has literally taught consumers how to save millions of dollars. This is what Extension is all about, helping people, and now this software is being recognized nationally and internationally."

"Fannie Mae is delighted to offer PowerPay to counselors who use Home Counselor Online," said Helene Raynaud, senior business manager for Fannie Mae's Community Technology group. "PowerPay is a very helpful addition to Fannie Mae's online toolbox that counselors and lending partners can use with their clients."
