USU Printmaking Guild Hosts Holiday Sale

By Emma Lee |

LOGAN, Utah — The Utah State University Printmaking Guild will host its Annual Holiday Sale, where community members can purchase unique, handcrafted artwork. The sale will take place from 4-8 p.m. Dec. 4 and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 5-6 in the Printmaking Studio (FAV 106).

The artwork created by talented students and faculty will range from prints and art calendars to creative T-shirts, koozies and more.

“There are numerous options for people to find what they are looking for,” said guild member Lily Jarvis. “It’s a great holiday atmosphere.”

Proceeds from the event support the printmaking program and the Printmaking Guild to aid students in educational opportunities such as conferences, trips, exhibitions and events.

“This event is a great opportunity for not only members of the community but also for the students,” Jarvis said. “As artists, it's great when there are events we can attend and participate in. Getting our name out there along with our artwork is something we are always trying to do.”

The printmaking program at USU is renowned for its thriving community of faculty and students who are committed to innovation in traditional print processes, providing students with access to specialized equipment and a collaborative learning environment.

“Throughout my four years at Utah State, I have gained some of my closest friends in the printmaking program,” Jarvis said. “The community here in the program is really great and is constantly growing. The printmaking program is what makes being in school feel a little more like home.”

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit the online events calendar.
