USU to Offer New Lower Rates and Other Incentives in Summer 2025 

LOGAN - Utah State University has announced new changes coming for Summer 2025. USU has approved lower summer tuition and fees, making it more affordable than ever for part-time students to enroll.

What is new in Summer 2025?

• New lower rates: Many students may save up to $500 when taking just one 3-credit class.

• Early registration: Students may register as early as Feb. 19.

• Expanded course selection: For some majors, the course selection has expanded beyond offerings in previous summers. A sneak peek at summer course offerings is already available for students to start planning ahead.

Why Summer?

• Higher retention and graduation: Recent university enrollment data shows students who take one or more summer classes have higher retention and graduation rates than other students. Taking summer classes helps students to get ahead, catch up, or stay on track.

• Take classes while working: Many summer students take just one online class in which they have the flexibility to complete their coursework around their other summer commitments.

• Enjoy smaller class sizes: Summer classes often have smaller class sizes, allowing more personalized attention from instructors.

• Other cost savings: In addition to the new lower summer rates, non-Utah residents and international students save money by paying the lower resident tuition rates.

• Good selection of general education courses: A nice variety of courses are available within every general education category.

• Calendar flexibility: Courses are offered three different summer sessions:

• 14-week General Session: May 5 – Aug. 8

• First 7-week Session: May 5 – June 20

• Second 7-week Session: June 23 – Aug. 8
