LOGAN, Utah — Utah Public Radio, a service of Utah State University, was selected for the 2025 cohort of Utah’s 100 Companies Championing Women. The recognition is led by the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity and the Utah Women & Leadership Project at USU.
The statewide program recognizes organizations that advance women in the workplace and in the community. UPR’s selection highlights the station’s public-service mission and the work its journalists and staff do to serve listeners across Utah.
The honor aligns with USU’s land-grant commitment to extend learning and service to every corner of the state. UPR’s news and cultural programs help elevate local stories, give a platform to diverse voices and connect communities with trusted information.
“This award could not be better timed as we work to strengthen USU’s public radio station and build on our reputation as a resource for connecting USU and community one UPR story at a time,” said Kerry Bringhurst, station manager and Morning Edition host.
As part of the 2025 cohort, UPR will engage with program partners and share updates with listeners, donors, and community stakeholders throughout the year. The station will continue to spotlight women’s leadership and community impact through on-air and digital coverage.
