Utah State University kicked off its newest marketing campaign, Small Moments, Big Impact, highlighting the university's real, authentic moments with customized content developed exclusively for the platform delivering the content.
“It’s the small moments across all USU campuses which are the most impactful on the lives of students, faculty, staff, and every Utahn across the state,” said Vice President of University Marketing and Communications Bill Plate. “There’s no better way to market what makes USU and being an Aggie so special other than to share the real moments happening on campus.”
The Moments campaign uses a unique approach to customize content specifically for audience experience. Each individual moment dictates how it will be shared. Some moments may be told through 30-second commercials for TV and social media, while others may incorporate a video and billboard. Another might be a story on TikTok or Instagram, but everything is done with a specifically designed purpose rather than a universal approach.
“We are looking to reach a wide range of audiences and demographics, and we can’t expect to do that successfully if we tell each story the exact same way. This is about connecting each community to the university and letting the moments speak for themselves,” Plate said.
Each of USU’s colleges, Space Dynamics Laboratory, Extension farms, athletics and more will be represented in the campaign which showcase unique experiences ranging from research to performances—course work, to candid everyday happenings.
The campaign captures and highlights the day-to-day events responsible for making USU the state’s economic engine.
“What makes Utah State special is found in the everyday moments happening across our campuses and communities throughout Utah.” said Utah State University President Brad Mortensen. “Whether it’s a student opportunity, a research breakthrough, or Extension work serving families and communities, those moments strengthen lives, support local economies, and shape the future of our state.”
