UWLP Awarded Envision Utah’s 2023 Common Good Award

Envision Utah has awarded the Utah Women & Leadership Project (UWLP) its 2023 Common Good Award. The Common Good Awards are given to the organizations and individuals who are doing great things for Utah’s future. This marks the second occasion that UWLP has been a recipient of the Common Good Award, with its previous win dating back to 2017.

The UWLP team will receive the award on Dec. 6 at an awards luncheon. Governor Spencer Cox, serving as the honorary co-chair of Envision Utah, will present the awards. This year's event will include an interactive panel discussion on the future of housing, water, transportation, as well as open space and recreation.

The Common Good Awards is an opportunity for Envision Utah to connect with the community and educate stakeholders on key issues facing the state. Throughout the years, Envision Utah has honored outstanding individuals, nonprofits, businesses, and associations that make significant contributions to the “common good” of Utah and its communities.

The mission of the Utah Women & Leadership Project is to strengthen the impact of Utah girls and women. UWLP serves Utah and its residents by producing relevant, trustworthy, and applicable research; creating and gathering valuable resources; and convening trainings and events that inform, inspire, and ignite growth and change for all Utahns.

Earlier this year UWLP launched a statewide movement, “A Bolder Way Forward,” aimed at creating change so that more women and girls can thrive in any Utah setting. The movement brings together entities and individuals who are already doing related work or who want to get involved. A Bolder Way Forward is setting bold goals in 18 critical areas that require societal change. Envision Utah is A Bolder Way Forward partner in the childcare and K-12 initiatives areas of focus.
