Good morning and Happy New Year! I have a number of Utah Women & Leadership Project (UWLP) announcements for January:

First, we are pleased to announce the release of a new white paper titled “Women in the Workplace Part 1: Utahns’ Awareness, Understanding, and Attitudes.” This white paper is the first in a series of six reporting the results of our fall statewide study, with this one focusing on Organizational Strategies & Workplace Culture, Childcare/Pre-K, Gender Pay Gap, and Sexual Harassment & Gender-Based Discrimination.

Second, we have a workshop coming up on January 23 titled “Designing Corporate Women’s Networks, Initiatives, and Leadership Programs.” It is designed specifically for company leaders and representatives who are interested in creating, designing, developing, or improving women’s networks, groups, programs, and/or other initiatives in their organizations. Based on the latest research, I will teach attendees about the types of efforts, programs, and designs shown to be effective in supporting and advancing women in workplace settings. Attendees will share best practices too. The afternoon will consist of engaging presentations, small group conversations, participant sharing, and individual activities. We have limited seating. Cost: $99 plus Eventbrite fees.
