March 2025 Newsletter

Colleagues,

Good morning! Happy International Women’s Day on Saturday. I have a number of Utah Women & Leadership Project (UWLP) announcements for March:

First, we are pleased to announce the release of a new white paper titled “Women, Finance, and Education: Utahns’ Awareness, Understanding, and Attitudes.” This white paper focuses on finance, higher education attainment, and K-12 initiatives. Thanks to my co-author Brie Sparks for her work on this white paper. Additionally, a few weeks ago we released a new white paper titled “Women’s Safety & Security: Utahns’ Awareness, Understanding, and Attitudes,” which focuses on sharing the results of our fall survey around the topics of child sexual abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, and poverty/homelessness.

Second, we have a few resources to highlight this month:

Third, the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity, the Cox-Henderson Administration, and the UWLP partnered on the initiative titled “100 Companies Championing Women in Utah.” We have now opened nominations for an additional 100 companies to be recognized in a 2024-2025 cohort. If your organization (e.g., company, nonprofit, university) does great things to champion women in Utah, we invite you to submit a nomination: https://inutah.org/100-companies/.

Finally, check out some key articles and media published this past month:
