A Bolder Way Forward Advocates, Good morning! As partners and individuals across Utah continue working together to advance the vision of A Bolder Way Forward (BWF), we’re pleased to share recent updates, resources, and highlights from across the movement: Quarterly Forum: Join us for our next BWF Quarterly Impact Forum on October 5 from 10:00–11:00 a.m., where partners, advocates, and community members from across the state come together to learn and connect. This virtual gathering will feature updates, highlight recent progress, and share opportunities for continued engagement. These updates are informed by our quarterly check-ins with spoke and belonging team advisors who help us stay connected to emerging priorities and successes across the movement. Whether you've been involved for years or are just beginning to connect with A Bolder Way Forward, the forum is a valuable way to stay informed and inspired by the collective work happening throughout Utah. Local Updates: Meaningful change continues at the local level, where county coalitions are building partnerships, implementing solutions, and creating lasting change. Read this quarter’s BWF Regional Coalition Update to see how communities across Utah are making progress. We also applaud Price City for becoming the 13th local government to pass a Bolder Way Forward resolution, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening opportunities and outcomes for girls, women, and families. Consider reaching out to your local elected officials about bringing a resolution to your town, city, or county. Latest Research: Since our last update, UWLP has published 36 new research summaries in a “What Utahns Need to Know” series. These two-page summaries provide key data points, takeaways, and recommendations for change within each of the spoke areas. A timely research snapshot was also released today on Suicide Among Utah Girls and Women: A 2026 Update. We invite you to explore the latest research and share with your networks to help strengthen understanding and support evidence-based change, including the following new research briefs related to educational attainment and leadership:
Spoke Metrics: Updated spoke dashboards and data visualizations are available to help Utahns understand trends, measure progress, and identify opportunities for action. New data are available for Gender Pay Gap, Entrepreneurship, Domestic Violence, Higher Education Attainment, and Childcare & Pre-K Programs. Podcasts: Whether you’re looking for insights or inspiration, the UWLP podcast offers valuable perspectives from those working to improve the lives of Utah women, girls, and families. Recent episodes include conversations about Women in Skilled Trades, Eleven Major Challenges Utah Girls and Women Face, Seven Top Opportunities for Utah Girls and Women, New American Women (Immigrants and Refugees) in Utah, The Roots of Sexual Violence in Utah: A Framework for Understanding Harm, and The Status of Women Leaders in K-12. Movement-Wide Awareness Campaigns: Monthly campaigns provide opportunities for individuals and organizations to share information and raise awareness about key issues. Along with the current campaign resources, you can find additional resources to share during September (National Voter Registration Day) and October (Domestic Violence, Breast Cancer, and Menopause Awareness Month) in the resource kits for Domestic Violence and Health Across the Lifespan, and within the related calls to action.
