On Tuesday, Jan 24th, the newly formed USUSA Student Veterans of America (SVA) club held its inaugural meeting from 6-7pm at the Cache Valley Veterans Association in Logan. In February 2023, the club held leadership elections. Tatum Nelson was elected club president, Mitch Steen was elected vice president, Garrett Matthews was elected secretary, and Emily Hugie was elected club treasurer. Since that initial meeting of four members, the club has more than quadrupled in size in just three months. Consistently, the SVA club held weekly meetings and both formal and informal social gatherings to include, shooting ranges, smash rooms events, luncheons, dinners, movie nights, game nights, and special event viewing parties.
