Former Defense Secretary James Mattis to Speak in Logan on Jan. 21 Thursday, Jan. 09, 2020

James Mattis, the former U.S. Secretary of Defense, will speak at Utah State University on Tuesday, Jan. 21. His speech will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Evan N. Stevenson Ballroom in the Taggart Student Center. It is free and open to the public, and doors will open one hour in advance. Mattis is visiting campus as a guest of the university’s Center for Anticipatory Intelligence, which draws faculty from across campus and is part of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, according to a university news release. His speech will be titled “U.S. Leadership on the World Stage: Getting It Right, and Healing Rifts at Home.” ... Mattis is also a New York Times bestselling author. His most recent work is “Call Sign Chaos: Learning to Lead.”
