COLLEGE OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES WEEK 2013 BEGINS APRIL 1

LOGAN —  The College of Humanities and Social Sciences Council at Utah State University presents the school’s annual CHaSS Week April 1-6.

The weeklong event series celebrates the unique disciplines, people and organizations that comprise the college. It features a night of comedy, the second annual Dean’s Convocation, a college-wide research symposium and a career workshop for students, among other activities.

“CHaSS Week is a series of events for students to celebrate being in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences,” said Trent Morrison, the CHaSS senator. “Every student should attend these events to get food, have fun and because they love being in CHaSS.”

Members of the CHaSS Council organized the activities and are eager to introduce an ongoing event on the Quad called Take a Book; Leave a Book. The idea is to create a student-run public library on the Quad. Students across the university are encouraged to participate.

“I am really excited about the public library; it should be unique and we’re hoping it is something that can be continued past CHaSS Week,” said CHaSS Council President Bree Smith.

“It has been fun being involved in the planning process of CHaSS Week. It has allowed me to get a better understanding of what our college is about.”
