Brand Standards: Photography

Photography Overview

Photos are one of the best ways to show your audience the Aggie experience. We have a vibrant Aggie Family culture, and photos of our students and staff working and playing together will bring your website, printed materials, and social media posts to life.

These standards help you find, plan, and use photos that represent the best of being an Aggie.

Quick Answers

Which Do I Need?

  • I need a photo for a USU project. Search the USU Photo Library first. For paid marketing campaigns, choose images tagged Model Release.
  • The library doesn't have what I need. See your other photography resources: working with UMAC, hiring a freelancer, doing it yourself, or using Adobe Stock.
  • I need a professional headshot. Faculty and staff can reserve a time through the sign-up link on the Headshots page. Reservations open 45 days before each shoot date.
  • I'm photographing people for promotion. Get a signed release when a person is identifiably featured. Find the forms on the Model Release page.
  • I'm planning a photo shoot. Make a plan and a shot list with the photography guidelines.
