Connections: Logan Campus

USU 1010: Connections is a two-credit academic course designed to ease your transition to Utah State by helping you understand the purpose of higher education and how you can intentionally take advantage of the many opportunities and challenges available to you as a college student.

  • Find your why
  • Understand your responsibilities and opportunities
  • Develop a mindset of success and belonging
  • Meet your mentors

I liked the open discussion aspect of our sessions. I felt that the time in class with my peers and instructor was a safe space to discuss our views on college and voice any concerns or hesitations we had about our upcoming years at university.

Testimonials

"I liked the open discussion aspect of our sessions. I felt that the time in class with my peers and instructor was a safe space to discuss our views on college and voice any concerns or hesitations we had about our upcoming years at university.” "

"It made it so much easier. I felt more confident about campus and about the resources that I can use to help me succeed in school."

"I felt like a part of the Aggie family by the end of the connections class, [my instructor] taught us about anything the campus has to offer and she was excited about it which made me excited to. She showed me that Aggies are helpful and friendly."

"Taking Connections radically changed the way I think about my college experience. From realizing why I’m even here, to learning healthy habits that will assist me for the rest of my life, and realizing my many personal weaknesses, this class has opened my eyes to what college really has to offer. More than just earning a degree and a job, Utah State University is a place from which I can emerge for the better in all areas of my life."

"I met so many great friends in this class. We learned a lot of things together so even if we had a lot of differences we could always relate to each other. Being different from one another was one of the best things about the diverse group. It make it interesting and fun to learn with them"

"I loved learning how much the professors can help me and how much they really care. I didn't know how much they could help outside of the classroom setting or how much they care about my education."
