Pre-Connections Experiences

Several offices on campus provide phenomenal pre-Connections experiences to incoming students. While these programs are not part of the Connections course, they are perfectly designed to allow you to return to campus in time to participate in a pre-semester version of Connections.

Natural Bridges: August 14-19, 2025

Join USU Outdoor Programs for the Natural Bridges Freshman Wilderness Experience. Enhance your transition to USU by building bridges with the natural environment and your fellow incoming freshmen while spending five days backpacking in the Mount Naomi Wilderness or canoeing on the Green River through Labyrinth Canyon.

Aggie Blue: August 18-19, 2025

Join your student body officers and leaders from various campus organizations in a two-day intensive leadership experience. Conference participants enjoy inspirational speeches, interactive breakout sessions, an impactful service project, and so much more. If you are interested in involvement or leadership, you can join one or more involvement committees during this conference.

Community Engagement: August 18-19, 2025

Choose one of three immersive local experiences to learn about volunteerism, nonprofits, and how you can get involved in the community you'll soon call home. Apply by August 3. $50 fee due August 8. Fee includes group lunches and transportation to engagement sites.
