About This Degree
The Equine Science and Management degree program offers a unique combination of lecture and hands-on educational experiences specific to equine science. Students will also learn foundational animal science principles.
The Equine Science and Management degree is designed to create educational outcomes that prepare our students to actively engage in their future career aspirations.
What You Will Learn
The core sciences build academic strength and critical reasoning skills while the equine elements allow students to customize their educational experience through a variety of subjects that deliver practical content relevant to the equine enthusiast. These include equine health, nutrition, daily care and management, reproduction, lower limb anatomy and function, weanling behavior and handling, yearling fitting and sales preparation, and riding.
You will learn from skilled faculty who are eager to share their knowledge and who represent sectors of the equine industry ranging from the show ring, equine-human sciences, and veterinary medicine.
