About This Certificate

The Information and Computer Technology Certificate at Utah State University is a 15-credit, fully online program designed to prepare students for high-demand careers in today’s technology-driven world.

This certificate provides a strong foundation in essential IT disciplines, including cloud computing, network administration, database systems, and programming.

This program is ideal for students who have completed foundational IT coursework through Utah’s technical colleges, but it is also accessible to those without prior technical experience. Students new to the field can meet with a USU advisor to determine any preparatory coursework needed before beginning the certificate.

Designed for flexibility, the program supports working professionals and students across Utah. It also stacks directly into the Bachelor of Science in Technology Systems (TESY), providing a seamless path toward a four-year degree without duplicating coursework.

What You Will Learn

Students will gain experience in cloud computing, network administration, IT management, database systems, and scripting for cybersecurity.
