About This Certificate

The Nail Technician certificate is designed to help students prepare for and pass state certification tests and licensure administered by the state of Utah.

Students who complete the certificate will be prepared to create their own small business or work in the salon and spa settings. Courses for the certificate may not be taken on a pass/fail basis.

For career minded, self-motivated students with a passion for creativity in nail design. We offer a solid foundation from experienced professionals who teach current trends supported by the fundamental basics of Nail Technology.

What You Will Learn

USU Eastern’s Nail Technician certificate blends theory with valuable hands-on instruction to master the skills to become a Licensed Nail Technician.

Students develop technical skills and are held to high standards. Students in the program benefit from 100% face to face instruction and small class sizes. Students are educated in all services needed to become a successful Nail Technician. Including but not limited to manicures, pedicures, a variety of current polishes, acrylic nails, wraps, dips, polys, and hard gel nails.

All graduates of the Nail Technology program have well rounded perspectives of all current testing requirements and implementation of emerging nail techniques. They are prepared to apply and obtain a job in the Nail Technology field.
