Single Student Housing Move-In Information

Spring Semester 2026

Spring semester on-campus housing move-in dates are Saturday, January 3 and Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.

*New students who are participating in International Student Orientation (Friday, January 2) or other University required classes or events prior to the check-in date, can move-in early. See Early Arrival information below.

New students who arrive during the holiday break, need to plan ahead to pay for a room and stay either at the University Inn, which is Utah State University's hotel, or secure other  temporary accomodations in the Logan area.  Advanced reservations for the University Inn can be made online at www.hotel.usu.edu or by callling (435) 797-0017.

Students start paying for their housing contract on Saturday, January 3, 2026. If there is an associated meal plan, it will be active beginning with dinner on Saturday as well.

Please note, the Main Housing Office will be closed from December 24 through January 1. It will reopen January 2 at 8:00am MST.

Holiday Break: December 15, 2025 to December 28, 2025

                      All USU Housing Area Offices will be closed.                           


*Early Arrivals: December 29 to December 30, 2025

Monday, December 29 through Tuesday, December 30

Check in at the Housing Area Office for assigned building
After 9:00 pm Stay at the University Inn. Check in at Housing Area Office for assigned building next business day. 

Wednesday, December 31 and Thursday, January 1 - Stay at the University Inn
                      All USU Housing Area Offices will be closed.                           

Friday, January 2
10:00 am -10:00 pm  Check in at the Housing Area Office for assigned building
After 10:00 pm Stay at the University Inn. Check in at Housing Area Office for assigned building next business day.
