USU Single Housing contracts are for the entire academic year. Rent and meal plan rates are billed by semester.

Learning Community Fees: A one-time $50 for those participating in Outdoor Adventure will be assessed for fall semester. This fee is used for travel, food and supplies.
Meal Plan Rates

Semester meals can be used at either of the two Dining Halls (The Junction & The Marketplace). Two guest meals available per semester. Dining Dollars can be used at any of the USU Dining Services locations. Dining Dollars remaining at the end of fall semester will carry over to spring semester. Dining Dollars will be forfeited at the end of spring semester. Dining Dollars may be used to purchase food for others if students cardholder is present. If Student is approved for an early termination of their contract, the meal plan and associated Dining Dollars expire on the date of check out. Meal plan changes can be made until two weeks after the beginning of each semester. The student's USU ID card is used to access meals and may be used only by the student to whom it is issued. If student's account becomes delinquent, the Dining Services Office reserves the right to place a hold on the use of the meal plan. The student will not be reimbursed for any missed meals when a hold is in place.
Cancellation Deadlines
All cancellations need to be submitted online by logging into your Resident Housing account.
2024-2025 Academic Year Contract

Payment Due Dates
- Fall Semester: August 14, 2024[1] - Rent and meal plan charges will post on July 15, 2024.
- Spring Semester: December 12, 2024[1] - Rent and meal plan charges will post on November 18, 2024.
- Summer Semester: April 16, 2025[1] - Rent and meal plan charges will post on April 7, 2025.

Payment Information
Payment for tuition, fees and housing occur in one location simply by logging into your USU Banner Access account. Student can choose to pay with an electronic check (no additional fee added) or with a credit card (a convenience fee is added at the time of transaction). Students who will be receiving financial aid or scholarship funds will have that amount allocated to tuition and fees first. Remaining funds will be put towards any housing charges. Please be aware that any past due amounts on Banner, whether it be Housing or other University charges could prevent Student from registering, using activity card, etc.
Winter Break
Housing Contracts include winter break at no additional cost. Meal plans are not active during the break. Students staying during the break need to have their room keys reprogrammed at their Area Office before the end of fall semester. Students not remaining in Housing for spring semester must completed all move-out requirements by 2:00 p.m. the day after finals end. Students who remain in housing during winter break and then cancel for spring will be charged a per night rate.
Amenities
Electricity, natural gas, water, sewer and garbage, Internet (wired and wireless) and free laundry are included. Bedrooms include an extra-long twin bed (36” x 80”), dresser, desk, and desk chair. Private rooms in Blue Square have full-size mattresses.
Meal Plans
Required Meal Plans: Residents living in Mountain View Tower, Canyon Crest Suites, Central Suites, Richards Hall, Bullen Hall and the Living Learning Community are required to have a housing meal plan for the academic year.
Optional Meal Plans: Residents in all other housing buildings other than those listed above are not required to have a meal plan. Visit Dining Services for information regarding block meal plans.
