The Inclusion Center is located on the third floor of the TSC. There, you can find resources for all of the programs and clubs. There are many physical spaces on campuses where you can receive support and advocacy. You can receive help from peers, participate in leadership opportunities, and get support in difficult situations from others who understand.
Think Care Act
USU Inclusion Center staff are members of “Aggies Think, Care, Act” and we proudly support their Principles of Community.
Support
The Inclusion Center stands shoulder to shoulder with communities who grieve the loss of a loved one through acts of violence. We are grieving with you. We also recognize the overwhelming need for social justice and the dismantling of systematic racism at every level. We are committed to creating a campus and community where everyone feels safe and welcomed, and their life experience is recognized and validated. We are committed to recognizing bias and discrimination in all of its forms, and supporting those who have experienced such acts. While we continue to hold space for our communities of color, our goal continues to be challenging racist views and values through education. In of all of our communities, we must all pledge to intervene when we witness a member of our community being subjected to racist views and actions . There are a number of tools and resources available that can help empower us all to confront such views and be effective allies to our communities of color. Please reach out if you are interested in learning more.
During these turbulent times, our number one priority is the safety of our students. If you have experienced or witnessed any act of bias or discrimination, please do not hesitate to contact us. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
Our office is in the process of creating a virtual “People of Color Relief Group”. If you are interested in joining, please contact Luis Rodriguez at luis.rodriguez@usu.edu. Additional details are coming soon so please stay tuned.
To our students of color, we see you and you matter. To our colleagues and staff who are committed to the work of creating an inclusive and equitable campus, we thank you.
With solidarity and hope,
The Inclusion Center
Advocacy
Our team is dedicated to acting on behalf of students, and is committed to representing the concerns of marginalized student communities. We also work collaboratively with campus partners to foster an inclusive campus climate characterized by civility and mutual respect. Please feel free to contact us if you have concerns or questions.
Social Climate Support Team
The Social Climate Support Team works with students and employees to provide support when an individual has experienced bias, racism, or microaggressions. As an institution of higher education, we welcome a broad array of expression and thought from many different perspectives. Behaviors and speech that show bias hate are harmful to not only those who experience them, but to our broader university community.
