USUSA Introduces Newly Elected Student Body Officers
The Utah State University Student Association (USUSA) Elections Committee released the final 2022 election results today, concluding this year’s historic student body elections across the state.
Each year, the USU student body elects officers to lead the Utah State University Student Association (USUSA). Throughout the USU system, the USUSA student government plays a vital role in shaping the student experience at USU, working to increase the quality of campus life and enhance student wellbeing. Every USU student is a member of USUSA – together, we are one student body united under one organization.
USUSA student body elections are the best time of the year to make your voice heard. By engaging in the process, candidates learn more about students' interests while voters prepare to make informed decisions. The more we all participate during these elections, the more we will learn about each other and our university.
The 2022 elections will look a little different than they have in the past. Over the past year, officers and students have approved legislation to improve our system of student governance. Now, USUSA is a fully systemwide organization, representing all students at each of the university's 30 campuses and centers across the state. In conjunction with these changes, the elections process has been adapted to support the organization's newly unified mission. All information about the recent changes is available here.

USUSA elections will look a little different than they have in the past. Thanks to the hard work of student leaders, USUSA is now a fully systemwide organization, representing all USU students at each of the 30 campuses and centers across the state. To facilitate these changes, a few adjustments have been made to the structure of the student government and the elections process:
First, students will now elect two different types of officers: systemwide and campus- and college-specific. Systemwide officers will be elected by the entire USU student body. These officers will sit on the Executive Leadership Board to advocate for all USU students. Campus and college officers will be elected by students attending each campus and university college. These officers oversee programs for their individual campuses and colleges.

Second, two weeks of elections will be held to elect the two different types of officers. Systemwide elections for the Executive Leadership Board will be held during Elections Week #1 from February 14-18, 2022. All USU students across the state are eligible to participate in these elections by voting or running for office. Elections for the Logan Executive Council, Statewide Executive Council, service region councils, and the Academic Senate will be held during Elections Week #2 from February 28-March 4, 2022. Students will be eligible to participate in elections for their respective campuses and colleges.
