Giving Tree 2022

The USUSA Traditions Committee wants to show support and create awareness to campus and community partners during the Holiday Season. The Giving Tree highlights groups that give back to students and the Cache Valley community. The list below was compiled to help anyone who would like more information, to donate or volunteer for service.

Bear River Land Conservancy

Our mission is to preserve the benefits of land and water in Northern Utah and the Bear
River Watershed for present and future generations. We do this by partnering with
communities and landowners to permanently sustain the heritage of working lands and
to protect natural areas.

Cache Employment and Training Center

Cache Refugee and Immigrant Connection (CRIC)

Our mission is to promote integration, economic self-sufficiency, and positive connections among refugees, immigrants, and the wider community through two-way education, improved access to existing services, and development of new services.

Cache Valley Center for the Arts

CAPSA

CAPSA is a non-profit domestic violence, sexual abuse, and rape recovery center serving Cache County and the Bear Lake area. It provides support services for women, men, and children impacted by abuse. All of our services are FREE and confidential.

CAPSA’s mission is to provide safe, caring, and confidential shelter, advocacy, and support for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, and to reduce incidents of abuse through prevention education.

 

English Language Center of Cache Valley

The English Language Center of Cache Valley (ELC) teaches English, basic life skills, U.S. Citizenship test preparation, basic computer literacy, and employment education to adult refugees and other immigrants. These adults become empowered to thrive independently in work and family life.

 

Logan Library

Sexual Assault & Anti-Violence Information (SAAVI) Office

The Sexual Assault & Anti-Violence Information (SAAVI) Office is a campus-based office providing safe, confidential counseling, advocacy, and information to survivors of interpersonal violence the USU community. SAAVI’s services are open to all USU students, staff, and faculty.

Friends of the SAAVI Office have the power to change lives, simply by making a gift. Donations made to SAAVI go to the Survivor Fund. This fund is used to help USU students, faculty, and staff who experience interpersonal violence with funding challenges, such as the coverage of court or medical fees, emergency housing, and providing survivor scholarships.

USU Counseling and Psychological Services

At USU’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), our mission is to embrace a holistic approach to student development by removing psychological, emotional, and behavioral barriers to learning and success.

 

Utah State Days for Girls Club
Days for girls mission statement: We increase access to menstrual care and education by developing global partnerships, cultivating Social Entrepreneurs, mobilizing volunteers and innovating sustainable solutions that shatter stigma and limitations for women and girls.

We work with Days for Girls and are one of their college clubs. We partner with the Chapter here in Logan and we work hand in hand to make the kits that get sent all over the world.

 

William A. Burnard Warming Center

Our community recognizes the inherent dignity and worth of every human being by ensuring that no one spends a single night unsheltered and alone during winter months in Cache Valley.
