Undergraduate International Students

International Orientation
All international students (undergraduate and graduate level) are required to attend our in-person orientation day. For the Fall 2022 semester, this orientation will take place on Monday, August 22, 2022. As you make your travel arrangements, please plan to attend this orientation day.
  • Orientation check-in will start at 9:00 AM on the second floor of the Taggart Student Center.
  • Our programming will run a full day from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with optional programming starting at 6:00 PM, which includes a shuttled Tour of Logan and a visit to Wal-Mart, where you can pick up groceries and other household items. After the program, the shuttle will take you back to your vehicle or residence.

To confirm your participation for International Orientation please fill out this form before August 15, 2022: https://usu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bj5CYzaD81g9dAy.

If you are no longer planning on attending USU, you can let me know through the same form.

The New Student Orientation process contains five modules* (see descriptions below). To deliver the correct information at exactly the right time, module one for the fall 2022 semester opens February 22, 2022, and module five will be completed during your first semester at USU. Modules two, three, and four will help you register for classes, prepare to begin at USU, and give you final reminders before you arrive on campus. The fifth module will give you information that is relevant once you have started your first semester.

Incoming Undergraduate International Students can register for fall 2022 starting the third week of April, based on earned credit hours on your Utah State transcript. Module two will tell you everything you need to know and do prior to registration (you will have a registration hold until you complete module two).

If you are still unsure if you are attending Utah State University, we recommend that you begin New Student Orientation, and register for classes as if you are attending. It is very easy to get a refund of your orientation fee, and to drop classes if you decide not to attend.

If you have questions, please email Stacie Denetsosie, International Orientation Program Coordinator at stacie.denetsosie@usu.edu or the Office of Global Engagement at usuintl@usu.edu. We are happy to help you in any way that we can.

*If you no longer wish to attend Utah State please notify stacie.denetsosie@usu.edu as soon as possible.
